Established by Cecil Pitman in 1952 and purchased by his grandson Lee Turner in 1995, Pitman Insurance Agency has proudly provided comprehensive insurance solutions to families and businesses on the Gulf Coast for more than sixty years.

In 1989, he joined the agency, which he purchased from his grandfather, Founder Cecil Pitman, in 1996. Lee graduated from Auburn University. He is President of Fairhope Single Tax Corporation, President of the City of Fairhope Planning & Zoning Commission and is a member of the Fairhope Rotary Club.

She is known for her kindness and calmness demeanor. Lorraine received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Huntingdon College. She lives in Daphne with her husband and two sons.

Alma was born in Michoacan, Mexico and moved to Silverhill, AL at the age of 5. Alma graduated from Robertsdale Highschool in 2012. Alma started at Pitman in 2024 and works as a customer service and interpreter. Alma likes photography, cooking, and making crafts with her two sons in her off time.

Known as “the work comp whisperer,” she joined the agency from Alabama Home Builders, where she accrued fifteen years of experience. With nearly 25 years of experience in the industry, Barbara handles certificates of insurance and accounting. Barbara loves spending time with her family at the beach.

Josh is a Licensed Agent and fourth generation member of the agency. Josh graduated from Troy University with a degree in risk management. He is a member of Fairhope Rotary Club.

We sell all forms of insurance, but our specialties are for contractors and main street businesses. The following are our main service offerings:

Our general liability markets start with minimum premiums as low as $400. We also provide protection for higher risk liability classifications.
Worker’s Compensation
We represent six insurance companies and six brokers that allow us to meet the worker’s compensation needs for any type of business.
Builders Risk
We insure builders risk for commercial residents, including both new construction and renovations.
Commercial Auto
We insure commercial automobiles ranging from individual vehicles for contractors to fleets of trucks.
Commercial Property
We have very competitive markets for commercial properties, with options including and excluding wind coverage.
Bonds
We handle a variety of bonds, from the city of Mobile license and permit bonds to notary public bonds to performance bonds.
